- How can I join Riverton Country Club
- NEW MEMBER: This is a new membership. A Membership Application needs to be filled out and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. The Membership Application needs to be completely filled out and accompanied with a check for a minimum of one month's dues for the type of membership applied for and the Initiation Fee. (The initiation fee may be paid in 36 equal payments, no interest).
- TRANSFER: This is a transfer of
an existing
membership that may be sold
by an existing member in good standings (The
price is
negotiated
between Seller and Buyer).
The transferred membership must be paid up current
prior
to the transfer. A Membership
Application needs to be filled
out and submitted to the
Board of Directors for approval.
The Membership Application

fee of
$100.00. (No initiation
fee applies

- As a new member what am I entitled to?
- As a new member you are entitled
to all the rights and privileges stated in the Riverton
Country Club Bylaws. As a member you are expected to adhere
to the rules and regulations stated in the bylaws or set forth by
the board of Directors. All members in good standing may charge
for services
or goods
at either the Pro Shop or Club House. A detailed list of charges
will be billed to you on the next monthly billing.
- Is there a Dress Code?
- Yes, no play will be permitted to anyone not
adhering to the Dress Code Policy.
- MEN:
Shirts-Must have a collar (no tee shirts or tank tops).
Shorts-Bermuda length shorts required (one hand length
above knees allowed. No cutoffs or bathing suits).
Slacks-All jeans and slacks must have a neat and untattered
appearance.
- WOMEN:
Shirts-Must have either a collar or sleeves. (No inappropriate
language on tee shirts).

- Can
I change my membership type at any time?
- You may upgrade your
membership at any time. You cannot down grade
your membership for 1 year from the time of your upgrade.
Ex: You decide to upgrade your membership from a Single
to a Family in April. You cannot change back to a Single membership
until April
of the next year.
- When are the Monthly statements sent out and when are payments due?
- Monthly
Statements are usually sent out within 1-3 working
days from the 1st of each month. The Statement
will include any previous balance, all charges
from the 1st to end of month, and the next months Dues.
Amount due
is payable upon
receipt and due on the last day of the month.
Payment received
after the last day of the month will be posted
in the next month and amount past due will incur a 1.50%
service charge
- Who governs the Riverton Country Club?
- Nine Board of Directors govern
the Riverton Country Club. Each year three Board
members leave and three new members are elected at the Annual
Meeting
(2nd Tuesday of November).

- I would like to terminate my membership at
the Riverton Country Club.
- According to our Bylaws
and the agreement you signed, you are obligated to pay
your dues through the calendar year that end Dec 31st of
the current
year. You may quit
prior to the start of the next calendar year. You are also
liable in full for any balance of Initiation fees that you
may have on time payments.
Your membership has value and you can sell it at
any time assuming your dues are paid up current
and the transferring member pays a $100 transfer
fee and 1 month dues in advance. The Pro has
a list of people who are waiting to buy memberships.
If you move further than 50 miles, you may terminate
or sell your membership at the time you move.
- Why
do we pay dues year around?
- The bases for
our dues are Annual. We have several payment options
available for you. They are Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual,
or Annually.

- Do
I need to buy a cart pass or pay a daily cart fee?
- All
golf cart passes/cart fees are per seat. If someone
rides with you they must have a cart pass or have paid a
daily
cart fee. If you
own
a cart and have paid Trail Fees, anyone can ride with
you.
- Where do I get Range Balls?
- You may purchase a yearly Range Pass or
buy range balls by the bag. A Range Pass is only good
for type purchased (ex. Single, Couple or Family). If you
have a Range
Pass,
it does not
allow you to get balls for someone else. Please return
your unused balls to the Pro Shop.
- When can we use Carts?
- The Course Superintendent controls the use
of carts on the course. Typically they will be allowed
from April 1st to October 31st. Wet conditions may dictate
otherwise. Check
the Pro
Shop for Cart Status.
- What is the Sunday Pro Am?
- Sunday morning there is a Pro Am. This
is a shotgun start at first tee times of the day. There
is a Men’s
Pro Am and a Women’s Pro Am. Once a month there is a combined
men’s and women’s Pro Am. See Pro Shop for Details
and Sign up. Regular play tee-times are usually available
by 9:30 AM. Please
call for details.
- Do I get a membership card?
- Membership Cards are given out by request
only. Often times you get a discount when you play
at other clubs if you present a membership card. To request
a card
contact the administration
office (856-6771) or place a request when sending in
your bill. We will send one right out to you. The Membership
card
will be good
for
one calendar year
- Do I need to make Tee-Times in advance?
- Yes, you may make Tee-Times
one week in advance though the Pro Shop. Please schedule
in advance to get the tee-times you want. Busy days are
Saturday, Sunday
AM, and the day before tournaments.
- What is Men’s Day?
- Men’s Day is on Wednesday from 12:00
Noon to 5:00PM. This time is set aside for men ’s
play.
- What is Ladies Day?
- Ladies Day is on Thursday from 7:00 to 12:00 Noon.
This time set aside for ladies play.
- What is “NO PAY-NO
PLAY”?
- Any account that ages beyond 60 days will be
placed on a NO PAY-NO PLAY status. All Golfing,
Clubhouse and Charging privileges will be suspended
until your
account is paid in full. Any Account delinquent beyond
90 days may be turned over to Collections and or
terminated
by
the Board. You are still liable for your dues until the
membership year is complete.

- What is my Membership Number used for?
- Your membership number is a
4-digit number assigned to your account. Use this number
to make charges against your account at Pro Shop, Restaurant,
or Bar.
Please write
your Membership number on any checks that you use to pay
on account.
You also use your membership number to enter your scores
in the Pro Shop handicap Computer. (Ex. Number-01 for Men, Number-02
Women).
- How can I establish a Handicap and get a Handicap
card?
- To establish a handicap you must be signed up, pay
a fee, and receive a GHIN number. Once you have been
signed up you will need to start posting your scores. The
Pro will
show you how to
post your scores in the computer. A true handicap will
be established after you have posted 20 scores. Most
tournaments and any State
event will require an established handicap. A yearly
fee is associated with
the Handicap and you will be billed annually, usually
in the April Billing.
