MEMBERSHIP:

  • Walt Stickels asked if the $100 transfer fee would increase as of February 11, 2009 or stay the same. Discussion was that we keep it the same for the available memberships. And when those memberships are sold then new members will have to pay the $1000 initiation fee.

    • Mitch Larson seconded the motion.
    • Motion carried on a 6 to 2 vote with Mark Washenfelder and Barbara Snyder voting against it.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Water contracts were discussed and rough draft was presented.
  • Mitch reported on the computer system and that training will be the week of February 16th.

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Bill Strannigan presented a letter from Joe McKethen inquiring why the course doesn’t stay open longer in the fall. We appreciate this letter but we have hired a professional green keeper and rely on his recommendation on when the course will close. This is not a set date every year. Chris needs 5 good days of consistent weather to put the course to bed for the winter.
  • The Kiwanis have approached the club to have their weekly Thursday meetings at the club. This is year round and is a lunch meeting.
    • Phyllis moved we don’t allow the Kiwanis to meet on Thursdays year round.
